Dir en Grey are Umez fans!

Μετά από tip του Rosenred, είδα το νέο PV του πιο-δημοφιλούς-δεν-γίνεται συγκροτήματος Ιαπωνικού ροκ (JRock για τους φίλους) Dir en Grey. Για την μουσική τους δεν θα πω πολλά. Άλλοι λατρεύουν την μπάντα και τον ήχο τους και άλλοι τους μισούν. Εγώ είμαι κάπου στο μέσο, άλλα κομμάτια τα γουστάρω τρελά και άλλα μπλιέχ, απλά!

Αλλά το PV του Dozing Green (no comment για τον τίτλο...), από τον νέο δίσκο τους Uroboros εκτός από ότι είναι αρκετά cool τραγουδάκι και η σκηνοθεσία πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα, σκάνε μέσα και εικόνες από manga. Το σχέδιο το αναγνωρίζω από το χιλιόμετρο. Ναι, είναι Kazuo Umezu!!! Sugoooooooooooooi! ^^

Οικεία Umezu παρακαλώ!

Ο λατρεμένος Claytonian ανέβασε ένα video, που μεταξύ άλλων έχει ένα απόσπασμα για το σπίτι που φτιάχνει ο θεός Kazuo Umezu.(Θυμάστε που σας είχα δείξει μερικές τέλειες εντελώς, κουκλί σου λέω, φωτογραφίες του?) Περισσότερες πληροφορίες αλίευσα απο το Same hat, τις οποίες κάνω ανελέειτα copy/paste (ναι, είναι στα αγγλικά)

Shock at horror cartoonist's stripy plans

Tokyo - Kazuo Umezu, the father of a Japanese genre of gory comics, is also causing horror for his neighbours because of a plan to paint his new house in vivid red-and-white stripes.
The skinny cartoonist with curly hair is often seen wearing bold red-and-white stripes, a habit attributed to his fantasies of being a pirate.
"Red and white stripes are my trademark and I planned to paint them somewhere on the house," the 70-year-old told the private TBS network.
"But it was said to destroy the landscape," he said. "I was in high spirits but now I'm deeply troubled."
Umezu says he has not broken any law and argues that his house in the quiet backstreets of the trendy Kichijoji area would be "beautiful."
But some residents are not amused and have fought to block him.
"Please understand our mental suffering as we have to live with the view no matter if we like it or not. This is nothing but violence of colours," one resident said before television cameras.
"My heart is also daubed over in red and white," she said.
The two sides are seeking reconciliation through court arbitration.
Umezu already has a house painted yellow in another part in Tokyo and a red-white striped resort house in the central mountain town of Nagano.
He pioneered horror cartoons in the 1960s. He also ventured into the world of comics in the 1970s and scored a huge hit with a series featuring a kindergarten brat who does everything to upset adults.
A similar controversy erupted last year after Italy built a red 12-storey cultural institute in central Tokyo, with Tokyo's governor saying it jarred sombre Japanese sensitivities.

Και δείτε και το video. Αν βαριέστε να το παρακολουθήσετε όλο (ντροπή σας!) το κομμάτι που μας ενδιαφέρει είναι στο 01.25 αλλά μην το κλείσετε μόλις τελειώσει!! Τρέχτε και μέχρι το 04.05 για να δείτε άλλο ένα κουλό που ήθελα να γράψω καιρό τώρα, αλλά έβρισκα πάντα κάτι κουλότερο να γράψω! Η Ιαπωνία έχει πλέον μία γάτα σταθμάρχη τρένων!!! Yeap, o Claytonian είναι το επίσημο 2 σε 1 κουλαμάρας του Pop Japan!

Οι Ιάπωνες mangaka τρόμου είναι τρόμος και οι ίδιοι

Τα horror manga είναι η μεγάλη μου αγάπη. Διαβάζω ότι και όπου μπορώ να βρω και δεν χορταίνω από το πόσο παρανοϊκά και περίεργα είναι. Ένας απο τους μεγαλύτερους και γηραιότερους δημιουργούς στο είδος είναι ο Kazuo Umezu. Παλιότερα είχα δει φωτογραφίες των εξίσου σημαντικών συναδέλφων του Maruo και Hino. Και οι δύο ήταν δυο σεβάσμιοι γέροντες, ντυμένοι με παραδοσιακές φορεσιές, και απέπνεαν έναν αέρα μεγαλείου και σοφίας. Πριν λίγες μέρες, ο Umezu ζήλεψε και αποφάσισε να βάλει και αυτός τις δικές του στο blog του καθώς και στο Picassa.
